As Executive Creative Director at LBi’s London mothership, Laura leads an exciting client base including Virgin Atlantic, M&S, BT, British Red Cross, Macmillan Cancer Support, Coca Cola, Capital One and the COI – and is especially happy when exploring the mash-up of technology, content and sociability.
A creative who has worked internationally (Australia, Japan, United Kingdom and the United States) producing ideas which pushes the boundaries of the medium, Laura cut her teeth as a key figure in the infamous ‘geekgirl’ hyperzine in the early nineties, and has been involved in the inspiration and implementation of plenty of the world’s most cutting edge digital work for top international brands over the last 16 yrs. She has consistently won awards for her commercial work. To Laura, the cup is always half-full, and her relentless optimism and enthusiasm has helped to create great work in the unlikeliest of places.
After a stint as a lead creative at deepend Sydney, she arrived in London for the deepend head office in 2001, and has worked at a senior level at Lateral, I-D Media London and glue, before coming to LBi after being impressed by their wealth of outstanding talent and commitment to good ideas.
She lectures and travels extensively, speaking on net art and the cultural implications of digital media, and other geeky stuff that takes her fancy.
As well as her day job, Laura is a founder of SheSays, a global volunteer network encouraging more women to pick up digital creative roles, a keen artist, and trained taxidermist.
